Career, Education, Military Experience:
I grew up in North Ogden on a farm. Spent as much time as possible exploring on horse back. Served a mission in Peru and Columbia. Member of the Army National Guard-625th MP Co. Graduated from WSU-two BS degress, BYU MS degree. Met Wife (Holly) at BYU during Grad.School. Holly became an geophysicist after BYU. I became an Exploration Petroleum Geologist working throughout the Western U.S. and Columbia before the Saudis essentially put the U.S. petroleum industry our of busines in 1986. Returned to North Ogden-Taught aat WSU as adjunct prefessor in geology. was a member of the Geology Department Guidance Committee. Taught chemistrym, physics,biology and earth science at Ogden High before becoming an administrator. After retirement Holly and I served 4 years as service missionaries working in addiction recovery. Since the first week the new Ogden Temple opened we have been ordiance workers. Contributing author to Wyoming Geologic Association Powder River Basin Symposium and the Ogden/Weber earth science text book. Still enjoy horses, skiing, hunting, fishing,ATV riding,irritating Holly while playing my guitar,taking R.V. trips and exploring any hill or mountain where I can put my feet. We have 2 children, and 4 grandchildren, 2b boys and 2 girls. Have lived in Huston Texas, and Denver Colorado before moving home. Life has been exciting and sometimes difficult but very enriching with many friends and wonderful family members.
