BS degree, Weber State College, in Psychology. MS degree, Utah State University in Family Relations and Child Development. Ph.D, U. Minnesota in Family Sociology. Faculty member at U. Tennessee, Knoxville 1975-79; Utah State University 1979-2014. Department Head, Dept. of Family & Human Development, USU, 1995-2000. VP for Research, Utah State Univeristy, 2000-2011.

Favorite Memories of Weber High:
Cool old building on Washington Blvd; carved stairwells; fun and racous assemblies; good football team;

Have you traveled? where? why?:
Lived longest in Logan, UT, but also in Minneapolis, MN (grad school); Knoxville, TN (work); Seattle, WA (sabbatical leave); Washington DC, (sabbatical leave). Some international travel for work and fun: Israel and Egypt; China; Dominican Republic; Puerto Rico; England and France; West Africa; Korea.

Hobbies/Interests:
Hiking and exploring, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, fishing, handball.
